On a mountain in the Philippines is a remote community lovingly known as the “tattoo village,” formally called Buscalan. This is the home of Apo Whang-Od, the oldest living tattoo artist. People come from around the world, making the long pilgrimage to get Whang-od’s three dot signature tattoo. Her grand-niece Grace is gradually taking her place of honor. This is one of the many stories we plan to share on this journey.
